Changed tariffs on intra-freight

Belarusian Railways February 10, increases the rates for the carriage of goods in intra reported by 5%

This measure provides for regulation of the Ministry of Economy of January 28, 2010 № 18. It will promote the phased elimination of intra loss of cargo, as well as partial compensation for loss of income of the Belarusian railway to reduce tariffs on the export transportation of certain goods.

According to a preliminary evaluation of BC in 2009, the level of cost recovery income on rail transport of goods in intra communication is 92%. Losses from intra-rail freight Belarusian Railways refund the profits received from the transport of goods in international traffic.

Belarusian Railways accounts for 80% of all executed in the republic of cargo and about 40% of passenger traffic. The total length of the main ways of life safety is more than 7 thousand km of electrified lines - more than 870 km.
